While most public restrooms are for simply getting in and getting out, there are a few in Los Angeles that offer innovative and fun features that make it worth spending some extra time in the loo. Some have gorgeous views, others are lavish and then there are ones that offer private disco parties. Below are our favorite restrooms in Los Angeles that offer a bit of flourish to your flush. As always, please share your favorite commodes in the comments. Unless, of course, you’re hoping to keep your favorite porcelain throne in L.A. a secret place for quiet contemplation.
The water closet of this new Studio City dining destination serves as an ode to one anglophile’s rock ‘n’ memories from across the pond. The walls of both the men and women’s restrooms are painted with exaggerated, street-style renditions of the iconic Lambretta scooter from Quadrophenia, seen on both the cover of The Who’s 1973 rock opera and in the classic mod flick loosely based on the album. So, while you might find hyper-seasonal, local fare from chef and co-owner Ted Hopson in the dining room, beverage director and co-owner Ann-Marie Verdi wanted to pay tribute to her time spent across the pond in jolly old England. The British inspiration also happens to fit nicely with the modern Tudor cottage theme found elsewhere in the restaurant. —Danny Jensen
